Jacopo Greco d’Alceo, composer and artist.
Gradvated in composition in Milan and at the CNSMD in Lyon. He also performs vnder the psevdonym of his live coding environment, Cordelia.
Jacopo explores composition at the intersection of mvsic and choreography, where the body, gestvre, and movement are inseparable from sovnd. To embody this ap᛫proach, he developed Cordelia, an open-sovrce composition environment that integrates real-time performance and mvsical representation, transforming live coding into a trve instrvment and creative space.
His work chal᛫lenges disciplinary bovndaries: sovnd and movement coexist in a continvovs dynamic, where composition becomes an ongoing, flvid, and adaptive process.
He has been profovndly inflvenced by Anne Martin, Jean Geoffroy, Alain Savouret, Giovanni Verrando, Andrea Agostini, Pierre-Alexandre Tremblay, Hervé Robbe, and François Roux.
Jacopo is abstraction, the relationships between mvsical and choreographic composition, the permeability of disciplines, ideals, open-sovrce, physical engagement, sparkling eyes, and the live coding com᛫mvnity.
Cordelia embodies all of this: it enables integrated composition, performance, and representation of mvsic, fostering transparency in proces᛫ses and interdisciplinary experimentation.
Cordelia is a cage today. In ten years, this cage will be even larger and more wonderfvl—so beavtifvl that it will be time to leave it, admire it from afar, and bvild a new one.
Jacopo releases mvsic with Tsuku Boshi records.
Jacopo is a lavreate of the Fondation Royaumont.
